Jiangsu May confirmed three cases of human infection with H7N9 cases

Yesterday, Health and Family Planning Commission of Jiangsu Province announced in May this year, the province's statutory reporting of infectious diseases, in May, H7N9 virus confirmed three cases of human infection with the province.

It is reported that in May this year, the province reported a total of A and B infectious diseases statutory reporting 9,640 cases, 27 deaths. Among them, the people infected with H7N9 virus confirmed in 3 cases, 2 deaths. According to the relevant requirements of the State Planning Commission Wei, who is currently infected with H7N9 virus will be released once a month instead.

I think the 3 cases in May referred to above are the following:

#440 - Man, 66, [Zhongmou] Wuxi City, onset of symptoms on 20 April, hospitalized on 25 April in a critical condition, history of exposure to live poultry.contact with pigeons Jiangsu province

#448 - Man, 51, hospitalized Jiangsu province

#449 - Woman, 51, hospitalized Jiangsu province


There is not enough information to be able to connect the 2 deaths to any particular case. 2 of these cases are mentioned in the June 10th report from the WHO but no deaths are noted.
