Health department has come on alert mode.

For the first time in Jharkhand, bird flu was confirmed in humans on Friday. After this the entire health department has come on alert mode. The health department is constantly in touch with the RIMS management and is taking information about the treatment. RIMS Director Dr. Rajeev Gupta said that bird flu has been confirmed in a 9-month-old girl from Ramgarh in Palamu. This H2N2 is a very deadly infection.
Only a few cases of this influenza A subtype have been confirmed across the country. Whereas this is the first case of Jharkhand. Dr. Gupta said that the baby girl was admitted under the supervision of Dr. Rajeev Mishra in the pediatrics department of RIMS after she had breathing problem. During recruitment, the girl also had symptoms of conjunctivitis, after which she was tested for Covid and bird flu. In the investigation, the report of Kovid was negative, but bird flu was confirmed.
Dr. Manoj Kumar, Head of Microbiology said that the samples were tested at RIMS, in which the infection was confirmed. Then the sample was sent to NIV Pune for sequencing and confirmatory test, from here also the report was positive. Dr. Gupta told that after confirmation of bird flu, 10 beds have been secured in the isolation ward of RIMS. The child in whom the infection has been confirmed is also being isolated and treated. The health department is being given every moment information from health.

Relief… No symptoms were found in the family members
Here, after the confirmation of bird flu in the girl child, contact tracing was done and her family members were interrogated. However, no symptoms of any kind were found in the family members. Due to lack of symptoms, his sample was not taken for examination. However, the RIMS management has appealed to the people that if anyone has symptoms of Covid as well as eye problems, then they must consult a doctor. Do not ignore the advice of investigation.
