6 people die of cerebral malaria in Koderma

About six people, including three of a family have died, because of cerebral malaria and more than ten are suffering from the disease in Karmikund village under Domchanch block of the districrt in past 48-hours. However, Civil Surgeon Sunil Oraon confirmed the death of five people and said five others suffering from the disease were admitted to civil hospital. Mr Oroan said a medical team was camping in the village. So far tests were conducted on over 55 people, Mr Oraon said, adding that adequate facilities were provided to the patients. Deceased were identified as Salgi Devi (55), Talo Tudu (2), Pushpa Tudu (5), Rahul Soren (5) Laxman Tudu (5) and another nine-year old boy. UNI XC-AM AK PA BST1923
