15 Apr., Saga prefecture announced

1st case mass infection in Japan

9 persons infected with XDR-TB
from twenties to forties

beginning of the infection
in September 2006
a tubercular patient(man, fifties) was discharged from prefectural hospital
and he go to clinic

in June 2007
he was re-hospitalized for condition deteriorated
the doctor diagnosed his illness as XDR-TB

in December 2008
XDR-TB detected from clinic staff(woman, forties)

in May 2010
XDR-TB detected from clinic staff(thirties)

Saga prefecture investigated the infection route
it found 9 persons from 460 persons

nosocomial infection: 8 persons(7 clinic staffs)
nosohusial infection: 1 person(clinic staff' family)
They are not serious conditions, only one person is in hospital
