Tokyo, Oct. 24 (Jiji Press)--Japanese Foreign Minister Koichiro Genba said Monday Japan will extend about 900 million yen in extra grant aid in total to Afghanistan and Pakistan to help them eradicate polio.

TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Japan has decided to offer a total of about 900 million yen in grant aid to Pakistan and Afghanistan to support their efforts to eradicate polio, Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba said during a World Polio Day meeting in Tokyo on Monday.
