Radiation readings (μ Sv/hour) for data points 31,32,33 Fukushima Prefecture over time. These points are located close to each other at the 30 km evacuation limit. (see map in post 1) It is encouraging to see the daily readings going down. For point 32, the highest, the 11 day average is 93 μ Sv/hour for a total exposure of 25,000 μ Sv if one were exposed continuously for 11 days. This is about 10 times the annual background radiation dose, or the equivalent of around 40 gastrointestinal x-rays. It is one half of the "upper limit of radiation dose permitted for radiation workers, police, and firefighters who engage in disaster prevention."

Follow-up to post #13 above - Here is an official estimate of the total dose received which is about 5 times lower than my estimate for point 32.
But the official estimate only runs from 3/23 to 3/28 and as you can see in the in graph I produced there were much higher readings in the days before 3/23.
