Is the above an pandemic guideline statement, in case of future afirmative H2H2H infections, now highlighted as a new business policy,
or
it is an actual action of a Bank to pose its business activity in a new mode actualy driven by an forthcoming infectious spreading event, which disease would be confirmed publicly soon at the TV system?

If this is not the first option, than it is cause of risen concern, and it fit itself in the Panasonic case augmenting the wory.

Perhaps the article intends that Bank operations will continue under quarantine measures through tele-conference system and remote jobs at home.

than we'll see tomorow.

As Iron. wrote in (#3), it could be a "working from home" pandemic procedure with additional public works by masks, all prescribed for "if it starts", but that case is than the first speculated option.

We must dig and assess that it is not the second option which prompted this - the "would be confirmed infection by public TV".
(or that it is only the option one case - the Bank prep guideline pandemic publication policy.

At this point I feel that I must reiterate that corporate pandemic planning per se doesn't mean that Pandemic Flu is only few weeks or months ahead.

I cannot reassure nobody, obviously, as every person is able to draw conclusion indepedently.

But I present some facts, about a current media - driven hysteria in Italy:

-- THE OBJECT OF HYSTERIA: migrants and women's assault risks

-- THE CASE: at least a year ago a woman was raped and murdered by a migrant near a slum in Rome outskirts

-- THE AIM OF THE MEDIA CAMPAIGN: to convey public opinion against migrants and fuel victory perspective for racist / xenophobic parties at snap elections

-- DISTORTION OF FACTS: assaults and rape are more common in regions and cultures where women are historically seen as ''objects'' (the real fact)

-- DISTORTED FACTS: assaults and rape are more common if there are migrants and especially migrants from eastern european countries (from Roma ethnic) (the distorted fact, the culprit, the blame-game objectivation toward a specific ethnic group or culture, unfounded on the basis on interior ministry data)

-- TV NEWS COVERAGE: every time prime-time tv news lines programs are aired, assault-rape-migrants pieces must be covered and linked with politicians activity aimed at ''zero-tolerance'' policies

-- TODAY: an assault per hour / 24H / 7 days per week

-- RESULTS: hysteria, mass paranoic behaviour with criminal activities by extreme fringes of far right groups (an Indian migrant was burnt, six other killed in a maffia concerted attack, illicit detention by police with migrant people badly beaten... etc.)

Obviously, the media can drive to a histeria.

But they can also tacit and worsen the real state of the matter if silenced.

The fact is that the main mass of earth populace don't read flublogs, they eventualy read internet news, or even less, only TV news.

So, what it is not on TV or nearby, it doesn't exist ...

The real hysteria would be when the masses understands they have no shields and if an infectious novel pandemic starts for real.

So, we cannot rely that the big news media circuits would want to release in time such news.

The above silence can be seen with the flu resistance matter - no mentions at TV.

I remember the TV eating of raw eggs at 2005, when it was clear that is better to avoid raw, all because economy reasons.

It is obviously no good to not eat poultry/eggs if there is not a deadly illness infection going on.

But if something realy happens, twisting facts means playing BigBro on others necks.

We have the right to know enaugh in time if we are endangered.

The official institutions would delay news also, because they also haven't anything to somministrate to the populace.

Only the prepandemic vaccines could semi-mitigate the panic, because it would be at least "an small chance".

Maybe the actual situation would outcome in smoke only.
Hopefully yes.

But hopefully also it would be not an media blanket at the same time when we have a failured Tamiflu blanket ...

The risk I fear above all other is this: people cannot trust nothing.

No trust in UN. Agencies
No trust in health experts
No trust even in renowned media sources
No trust in scientific publications

If one starts to distrust to all these source of informations, well I think we are amidst an hysteria case.

Medical symposium and meeting on infectious diseases are ongoing or scheduled (for example current IMED(2009)) but no alarm bell is playing from these researchers' rich meeting.

Is it possible that a great conspiracy aimed to obscure real status of h5n1 spread among the globe really exists?

Fear. Oh fear. We are all in the hand of fear...

Until - I believe - we rise our head and see around.

Perhaps it is as a famous quote in America goes: "Familiarity breeds contempt". Wild birds dead of AI is no longer news. Domestic poultry culled due to AI is no longer news. The human deaths caused in "far away" places is no longer news. The potential pandemic is no longer news.

Human beings are genetically predisposed to pay attention to immediate threats, not something that exists in an undefined future. Funding and politics have become entwined in the PanFlu issue.

Researchers have falsified data to serve their agenda or quest for funding. Politician have exaggerated or excoriated threats to serve their agenda or quest for funding.

Confusing and often conflicting reports abound in our popular media outlets.

No unified conspiracy needs to exist to account for the state of public awareness (or lack thereof). Human nature does quite well as an explanation, IMHO.

I was looking for seasonal influenza in Japan, when I discovered it. I did not go out looking for it.

It is preparation. I will look for more information on this particular company to clarify things.

According to the plan of the city, in the first pandemic in the overseas, set up a task force to the mayor and chief Kitahashi Kenzi. Headquarters is in charge of the publicity information, to strengthen preventive measures against infection. The City Health Center and Counseling Center is a fever, and has established the Municipal Medical Center Outpatient fever. Patients have been diagnosed and the hospital is recommended by the hospital's Medical Center is the only infectious disease designated medical institution in the city, and confirmed by virus isolation.

This training is aimed at excluding the isolation procedure. Center officials are listening, and fever stays in the history of symptoms and the role of overseas patients, the doctor suggested to determine the fever outpatient and in suspected infection. Suggest that fever and outpatient hospital care and medical examination by a doctor wearing protective clothing. Training took place in the emergency transport of seriously ill patients from other hospitals.

SZ in #9, and C. in #10, explained it good.

I added some more words.

Trust is an behaviour hardly builded, but easy loosed.

The first distrust came when the relevant sources of informations, and the local countries officials, admit there would not be enaugh meds, nor prepandemic vacc., nor money to buy it and store it for all citizens, and that the "lucky" illnessed ones would be the ones passed through the "ad hoc" triage into field hospitals allested during the ongoing pandemic.

The others they said, would be dumped out, or would remain at home without carry. And that would be the ones more chronic ill, and old.
Is that called euthanasia in normal times?

If we go further, by implementing the "symposiums" and other spec. gatherings, we can object with an other example:
how many sci. gatherings about the climatic change goes on, first contradictory than with alarm bells, but nothing realy changed after.
And we all are already in a climatic change situation.

The same we can assume would be with the pandemic question.

It is not a problem to trust that the official sources will inform all us for sure, but WHEN?
Months earlier - it is so much dificult.
2 weeks maybe?

What is the meaning of the FT tracking flu mission if we can't sniff it's appearance before the closing of the country borders, and the banks closures?

How many humans knowed what's the real situation of the world Market's bubble?
Did somebody alarm the population that they would loose pensions/houses/jobs/etc., and to not spend more money to the last minute?
Did all the world economy jumped to a deep crash in a few weeks?
How to label that case, a trusting case ...

I believe the ideal time for them to tell the public to prepare has long passed.

How do you tell people with no jobs, no money and who are losing their homes, that a pandemic is on the horizon and they need to stockpile 3 months worth of food and ppe?

What about all the people living in homeless shelters? Didn't we just read that one state said there would be no way to continue those types of services? I wonder if those people have been told they'll be on their own?

Those of us who are lucky enough to have found the bird flu forums will be the first to know and the best informed.
