Cold wave may grip Japanese archipelago from late Jan. to Feb.
TOKYO (Kyodo) -- A cold wave is expected to grip Japan from the latter half of January through February as the so-called La Nina weather pattern will lower the sea surface temperature around equatorial waters, the Japan Meteorological Agency said in a report released Thursday.
