7th death linked to new flu confirmed in Hyogo after 6th in Kagoshima

KOBE - A woman in her 30s in Tatsuno, Hyogo Prefecture, has died after contracting the new H1N1 strain of influenza A, the city government of Himeji in the prefecture said Saturday, bringing the total number of deaths related to the new flu to seven in Japan.

Earlier in the day, the Kagoshima prefectural government said a female cancer patient in her 60s had passed away after being infected with the new flu, becoming the sixth fatality in Japan linked to the epidemic.
