Abstract
We read with great interest the article by Mehta et al about the similarities and discriminators between giant cell arteritis (GCA) and the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).[SUP]1[/SUP] Viruses have been suspected to be implicated in the pathogenesis of GCA, especially the varicella zoster virus,[SUP]2[/SUP] but a clear association has not been confirmed.[SUP]3[/SUP].
