Abstract
Despite the increasing knowledge of COVID-19-related skin lesions, few studies have attempted to demonstrate the presence of the virus in skin lesions by real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).[SUP]1,2[/SUP] The objective of this research was to determine through RT-PCR whether SARS-CoV-2 was present in skin biopsies of patients with cutaneous manifestations related to COVID-19.
