Good news for Ivory Coast. The Minister for Health and the public health, Dr. Allah Kouadio Remi, returned from Switzerland with remedies against the aviary influenza. Indeed, on mission in Geneva April the 27 and 28 the last within the framework of the 13th world board of directors of the funds, the minister Allah Kouadio was not unemployed. Benefitting from this stay, it met persons in charge for laboratories, so that the latter give supports for Ivory Coast confronted with this epizootic since the discovery of hearths of aviary influenza in the communes of Treichville and Marcory, in Abidjan. And it is the laboratory "Roche" which with its seat in Basle (Swiss), which fell under the charm from the requests from Dr. Allah. This laboratory offered 1000 boxes of "Tamiflu" in the State of Ivory Coast.
Up to now, because of the orders of the Western and Asian countries and the keen demand throughout the world, the pharmacy of the public health of Ivory Coast (PSP) had obtained only the delivery of 10 boxes of this drug. Moreover, 30 other boxes were offered by the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to the minister Allah Kouadio, these drugs will be not only used to treat with effectiveness, the possible cases of contamination of virus H5N1, but more, it will especially put in confidence the agents of health and those of the livestock production, which will have more guarantee to do their work "Our country, now, will be able to face an unspecified degradation of the situation of the aviary influenza", reassures it.
