(New York) ? The killing of Egypt?s chief prosecutor Hisham Barakat in a bombing that targeted his motorcade on June 29, 2015, represents a dangerous moment for the rule of law in Egypt and a new shift in anti-government violence, Human Rights Watch said today. The authorities should investigate the crime, and those responsible should be prosecuted in fair and open trials. The attack in Cairo also injured at least seven people, including six of Barakat?s security guards and a bystander, according to media reports.
