THERE?S been a huge rise in the number of vomiting bug Shigellosis cases in Ireland, the HSE has confirmed.
And an outbreak of the bug in schools has been confirmed ? with fears it could soon hit Irish kids.
Official stats show that there have been 109 cases so far this year ? up from just 73 last there ? an increase of 50%.
It comes as parents at a school in Surrey, UK have been sent letters warning them about the bug ? with fears it could soon hit Irish schools.
