ERBIL - Nearly 60 coronavirus cases had been recorded in Iraq in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number to 1,820 across the country, the health ministry said.
Out of the total infections, which also include those registered in the Kurdistan Region, at least 1,263 patients have so far recovered from the novel virus while 87 lost their lives.

The daily epidemiological situation of registered infections with the emerging HIV virus in Iraq

- The Ministry of Health and Environment condoles the martyrdom of a group of security forces and the popular crowd as a result of a cowardly terrorist act, and the Ministry confirms that the white army's heroes from its owners continue to provide all required services to the wounded in addition to their other duties.

BAGHDAD, May 7 (Xinhua) -- The Iraqi Health Ministry on Thursday confirmed 63 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 2,543.

The new cases were recorded after 2,878 test kits were used across the country during the past 24 hours, the ministry said in a statement.

The new cases included 33 in the capital Baghdad, 25 in Basra, and five in Kirkuk, it said.

So far, Iraq has reported a death toll of 102 and 1,626 recoveries, it added.

BAGHDAD, May 9 (Xinhua) -- The Iraqi Health Ministry on Saturday confirmed 76 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 2,679.

The new cases were recorded after 1,979 test kits were used across the country during the past 24 hours, the ministry said in a statement.

The new cases included 54 in the capital Baghdad, 17 in Basra, two in Anbar and one each in Maysan, Salahudin and Wasit, the statement said.

So far, up to 107 people have died from the disease in Iraq, while 1,702 have recovered, it added.

ERBIL - The Iraqi health ministry reported on Sunday that the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has now reached 2,767.

This comes while the Kurdistan Region has registered no new COVID-19 cases over the past five days with Duhok province sending the last three coronavirus patients home.

Out of the total infections, 1,734 patients have so far been discharged from the hospital, but 109 others have lost their lives, the ministry said.

ERBIL - The total number of coronavirus infections in Iraq has now risen to 2,818, the country's health ministry reported on Monday evening.

A statement by the ministry explained that 51 new cases have been confirmed over the past day, pointing out that 50 of them were registered in the capital Baghdad while the other one was in Basra province.

In the meantime, one more patient died from COVID-19 in Baghdad, the statement added.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country, a total of 1,790 patients have so far recovered from the novel virus while 110 have lost their lives.
