[FONT="]According to the news agency "Fars" Iran, Akbar Shahi said during a news conference, the poultry farms "Bayada" saw the execution of 19 million and 40 thousand chickens across Iran. [/FONT]
[FONT="]He added that Iran is witnessing a severe outbreak of the H5N1 avian influenza virus, which caused the closure of more than 30% of poultry farms "Bayada", and forced Iran to import eggs from abroad to balance the market and reduce prices. [/FONT]
[FONT="]Nasser Nabibor, head of the chicken and egg association in Tehran, said last February that Iran imported 50 truckloads of eggs from Turkey every week.[/FONT]
[FONT="]According to the World Health Organization, the seasonal influenza virus, which first appeared in 2004, particularly in Asia, has 3 to 5 million serious cases worldwide each year, more than half a million deaths and serious economic consequences.[/FONT]
