Officials in the Dubuque Community School District are reporting three more cases of the mumps. According to an email sent to staff members and families of students at Fulton, a student at the elementary school has been diagnosed with the mumps. In addition two cases are being reported at Prescott and Table Mound. Districtwide there have been 19 cases of the mumps reported at schools...

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Dubuque school officials say skipping the measles, mumps and rubella or MMR vaccine is not to blame for the recent spread of mumps.

So far this school year, doctors diagnosed 16 students and four staff members with mumps. A total of 32 people in Dubuque County have had the illness. That accounts for half the cases in the entire state...

DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - Health officials are puzzled by an outbreak of the mumps among Dubuque County students that has now climbed to 30 cases, which is more than one-third of all cases statewide.

According to Dubuque County Health Department executive director Patrice Lambert, the source of the outbreak has not yet been determined. Lambert says this is the worst outbreak in 10 years in the county...
