The influenza virus A H1N1 does not stop. The confirmation of new cases is increasing every week in the country. To date, 66 cases which revealed positive health authorities, which have mostly been detected in the capital city.

In the last week, experts at the National Virology Laboratory confirmed 11 cases, mostly identified in private schools.

Arturo Bendana, Minister of Health, reported today that two new deaths are investigated by the pandemic.

The two cases were identified in the hospital school, a pregnant woman and an elderly man, but have not yet been processed samples for confirmation.

Last year there were 16 deaths due to influenza A H1N1 in the country. Positive cases of the pandemic exceeded 600, of which 57 percent were women and the rest males.

The departments most affected by the deadly virus in 2009 were Francisco Moraz?n, Cortes, Comayagua and Atlantis.

Vaccination

According to Bendana, a product of the increase of cases has decided to advance the implementation of the vaccine.
