Pachuca, Hidalgo Hidalgo .- The influenza A/H1N1 virus is fully under control, said Health Secretary Jorge Islands.
The official announced that the human influenza ceased to be considered a pandemic to be considered as an endemic disease, daily treatment and, in recent months, less harmful than a strep throat or a stomach infection.
During April, the dependence of Health reported only 4 cases and no deaths.
This month, according to the last cut recorded yesterday, had not reported a single one, indicating, Islas said that vaccination and preventive measures taken by the population managed to make a positive contribution in fighting the virus.
Another condition that also is down is dengue. Although last year the agency recorded 900 cases, was placed as one of the states least affected of the country.
There were cases, he recalled, such as Veracruz, which was above the 15 000 cases, or Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosi and Guerrero, where outbreaks began in emergency and warning the population.
So far this year, he said, there have been only six cases. Five recorded in the Huasteca Hidalgo and one in the area Otomi-Tepehua.
All have been channeled as dengue fever and have claimed lives. However, health authorities insist on maintaining existing measures and roof patio clean.
"These strategies have allowed that there are no puddles, water stored or retained in vases, buckets or containers that are part of outbreaks of mosquito that transmits culture this evil."
He insisted that only social participation, diseases such as influenza or dengue fever can be eradicated, as the measures of hygiene are the best way to avoid infection, not only these, but many more ailments
