(Adnkronos Salute) - "Alla fine 4 milioni di italiani saranno stati messi a letto dal virus influenzale, anche se quest'anno la stagione ? iniziata lentamente e il picco ? arrivato in ritardo, complice il freddo. Ma c'? stato anche un calo del 15% delle vaccinazioni". Ad affermarlo all'Adnkronos Salute ? il virologo dell'universit? degli Studi di Milano, Fabrizio Pregliasco. L'Organizzazione mondiale della Sanit? (Oms) intanto ha varato la nuova composizione del vaccino per la prossima stagione 2012-2013. "Decidendo di lasciare - spiega l'esperto - solo uno dei ceppi gi? presenti nel farmaco usato quest'anno, denominato 2010/11 A/California/7/2009 (H1N1) e aggiungendo: A/Victoria/361/2011 (H3N2) e B/Wisconsin/1/2010. Questo perch? - avverte Pregliasco - da un anno circola un 'mix' di agenti patogeni dove per? prevale come attore principale il ceppo H3N2, quindi l'Oms ha deciso appunto di aggiornare le indicazioni". Per la prossima stagione l'esperto, in base ai dati attuali, prevede "un'ondata d'influenza piuttosto tranquilla". "L'influenza vera - ricorda il virologo - si riconosce perch? ci costringe a rimanere a letto. Poi ci sono varianti - aggiunge - che nella popolazione si presentano ad esempio con il naso che cola, la tosse o la bronchite. E queste manifestazioni - conclude - sono dovute a circa 265 tipologie di virus".
