China has effectively brought the spread of major infectious diseases, such as plague, cholera and AIDS, under control, a white paper said Wednesday.

Titled "Medical and Health Services in China," the white paper was released by the Information Office of the State Council, or China's Cabinet.

In fact, I find it very hard to find any disease outbreak in China in the news. They must be a model of public health efficiency in the world. :rolleyes:

More than a billion people and they have brought the spread of infectious diseases "under control".

What unbelievable ****.

Since they have shut down thousands of web sites and imprisoned anyone who speaks out in defiance about the total control of the media, we will never know the full truth of the disease situation there. There are very few independent voices allowed to speak in China.
