Hi Theresa, I was just thinking of you as I came upon this article of almost one year ago. I find it interesting because recently we've had cases from Mempura (the little girl that just passed away), Siak, and Sungai.

JAKARTA (AFP) ? A young Indonesian girl who died at the weekend on the island of Sumatra was not infected with bird flu, a health ministry official said Monday.

The 10-year-old was admitted to hospital on Saturday suffering symptoms that led doctors to suspect she could be carrying the H5N1 virus, which has killed 88 people in Indonesia, the highest number anywhere in the world.

The distance between Lembah Damia and Merempan Hulu is about 60 kilometers (38 miles). See map below. The map also depicts major roads (in red) but they are not accurately plotted and are probably from an outdated data source. As you can seen from the second zoomed image on Merempan Hulu, there are other small roads and trails on the landsat image.

Merempan Hulu is a Desa (a small village unit) about 3 by 6 miles, so only the general location is shown. The clouds obscure some of houses which appear to be to the north. The third maps shows Desa Merempan Hulu and other Desa in the surrounding areas.
