The fight against the bird influenza in Indonesia little is financed and badly coordinated, according to denounced the World Bank today, insisting to the Government to be more aggressive in the sacrifice of the birds in the zones affected by the disease.

In a report that will be given to the main donors of aid of Indonesia, the World Bank also affirms that the Government indonesio needs to improve the monitoring of the poultries to detect better the buds of the disease and to modify his present program of vaccination.

Indonesia has said that it will need 900 million dollars (714 million euros) in the three next years to fight against virus H5N1 of the bird influenza, that has received 37 victims in the archipelago, but only has a budget of 59 million dollars (46 million euros) for 2006.

"The present concession of bottoms of the donors, about 55 million dollars (43 million euros), does not correct east imbalance", affirms the World Bank, adding that "it is not clear how the Government of Indonesia anticipates to finance this deficit".

The bank, in a report to be released to Indonesia's biggest aid donors, also said the government needed to improve surveillance of poultry stocks to better detect outbreaks of the disease and to modify its current vaccination program, according to the AP.

Indonesia has said it will need US$900 million ( Ђ 714 million) over the next three years to fight the H5N1 virus, which has killed at least 37 people in the sprawling archipelago, but has only budgeted US$59 million ( Ђ 46 million) for 2006.
