Numerous Poultry Sudden Death

Purwakarta, (AFP). - Hundreds of chickens recently found dead suddenly in some areas in the district of Purwakarta. The chicken farmer worried that mass death of birds that occur due to bird flu virus (H5N1).
A number of chickens that died suddenly were found in the village of Taringgul Tonggoh, District and Village Wanayasa Cibening, District Bungursari. Tonggoh Taringgul Village, about four hundred chickens died suddenly after being turned out negative despite bird flu.
However, the sudden death of poultry continues to occur thus making farmers nervous. Muhaimin (25), a resident of Kampung Cikuya, Yellow Flower Village, District Jatiluhur, admitted some time ago dozens of chickens died suddenly burasnya. In fact, not previously seen poultry that was sick.
"When the morning was about fed, had already died. For fear of bird flu, the chicken finally burned and then buried in the soil, "said Iskandar, Sunday (09.23.12).
Department of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries (Disnakan) Purwakarta district, directly monitoring the various regions that receive the news of the death of poultry in bulk. So far, related agencies focused handling of chicken deaths in the village and the village Cibening Taringgul Tonggoh death most fowl found in those regions.
Head of Livestock Disnakan Purwakarta district, Sri Wuryasturati admitted, actually monitoring not only in the village and Cibening Taringgul Tonggoh, but also in almost all locations farms.
According to him, the sudden death of chickens can not be ignored as it could potentially lead to the spread of viruses that are not desirable. (A-192/A-88) ***
