Hundreds of Chickens Die in Majalengka of Bird Flu

TEMPO Interactive , Majalengka - A number of chickens that died suddenly in the village of Nunuk, District Maja, Majalengka, tested positive for bird flu. Owners of sick chickens are required to burn and bury the pet chickens.
As is known, yesterday, Sunday (26/12), there was a sudden death of hundreds of chickens in Block Cirelek, Nunuk Village, District Maja, Majalengka. "After a rapid test , was the death of chickens in the village is positive because of bird flu, "said Head of the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Majalengka, Henry Suandi, Monday (27/12).
There are also chickens that died suddenly from 1045, there were 987 chickens in the village. "There is also the owner of 30 people," said Henry.
Because I had tested positive for bird flu, Henry also asked the owner of the chicken to burn and bury sick chickens like mucus out of his mouth. "We ourselves have done spraying chicken coops in the village," he said.
Meanwhile, Chief District Health Office Majalengka, Gandana Purwana explained it had not found any residents in the Village Nunuk, District Maja, who suffer from illnesses with symptoms of bird flu. "But we've asked our officers to monitor the bird flu from chickens to humans," he said.
Gandana also asked residents to alert over bird flu disease transmission.
