Wakil Direktur Bidang Medis pada RSU Adam Malik Medan dr M Nur Rasyid Lubis ketika dihubungi di Medan, Sabtu (14/10), mengatakan, pasien tersebut sebelumnya mengalami demam tinggi mencapai 37 derajat Celcius.

Menurut dia, pasien yang masih berumur tiga tahun itu dibawa ke RSU Adam Malik Medan, Kamis (12/10).

Sebelum dibawa ke rumah sakit, balita laki-laki itu memegang ayam yang sudah mati dan tidak berapa jauh dari rumahnya.

Rasyid menambahkan, sampel darah dan air liur pasien tersebut telah dikirimkan tim dokter pada RSU Adam Malik Medan ke Departemen Kesehatan (Depkes) di Jakarta.

Pasien yang masih dirawat di rumah sakit milik pemerintah itu, terus diberikan obat tamiflu agar panasnya bisa turun. Sebelumnya

Pulau Kabupaten Asahan diduga terinfeksi virus H5N1 (flu burung) menjalani perawatan intensif di Rumah Sakit Umum (RSU) H Abdul Manan Simatupang Jalan Sisingamangaraja Kisaran, Jumat (13/10).
Menurut sumber SIB, Lokot dirawat di ruang tiga khusus laki-laki RSU H Abdul Manan Simatupang sejak Kamis (12/10) dengan gejala demam tinggi, suhu tubuh tidak teratur sesak nafas dan disertai batuk.
Hasil pantauan SIB di rumah sakit tersebut, Lokot tidak mendapatkan perawatan yang layak, karena hanya dibiarkan terbaring tanpa mendapatkan cairan infus serta tidak didukung dengan fasilitas yang memadai. Bahkan Lokot ditempatkan bersama pasien lainnya yang semestinya dirawat di sebuah ruangan isolasi seperti pasien flu burung lain pada umumnya.
Nur?aini, istri korban yang setia mendampinginya selama menjalani perawatan menyebutkan, suaminya sebelum terserang sakit pernah bersentuhan dengan seekor unggas miliknya yang mati secara tiba-tiba di lokasi tempat tinggalnya.
Dinas Kesehatan Kab Asahan yang mendapatkan informasi adanya pasien dengan gejala flu burung segera menurunkan tim medis ke daerah tersebut dan mendapati korban sedang dirawat di Puskesmas setempat. Kemudian petugas medis tersebut segera merujuk korban untuk di rawat inap di RSU H Abdul Manan Simatupang.
Direktur RSU H Abdul Manan Simatupang, dr Bambang Wahyudi ketika dihubungi membenarkan korban sedang dirawat di rumah sakit milik Pemkab Asahan tersebut.
Lebih lanjut Bambang mengatakan, belum diketahui secara pasti apa sebenarnya penyakit yang diderita korban. Dirinya juga menyebutkan saat ini korban telah diambil sampel darahnya, sehingga harus menunggu hasil uji laboratorium untuk memastikan penyakit korban. (Ys/i)
