KOMPAS.com - A resident of Salatiga, Central Java was reported to have contracted Japanese encephalitis. As reported by Kompas.com, Monday (12/27/2021) Salatiga Mayor Yuliyanto said the disease was caused by mosquito bites and attacked brain tissue. "The laboratory results of the patient with the initials AO are positive for Japanese encephalitis, this is what the brain tissue attacks. The general public usually calls it inflammation of the brain," said Yuliyanto. Yuliyanto said, responding to the findings of the disease, Sidorejo Lor Health Center officers conducted an epidemiological investigation on December 16, 2021. "Currently the patient's condition has improved, awareness is categorized as compos mentis or normal. The patient is being treated at the Salatiga Hospital, the results of the examination have come out and the results are positive. ," he said.
