Due to heavy rains, overflowing of rivers and flooding in the Jakarta, Bekasi and Tangerang telephone lines, electricity networks, supply of clean water, as tapwater, have been cut off.

In some areas, flood vicitims are in need of food, blankets, hygiene kits and clothes, while in others flood victims remaines trapped in their houses.

Sida has appoved M?dicins Sans Fronti?rs (MSF) to spend SEK 1 110 000 from their rapid response fund for medical care through mobile clinics. Further MSF will focus on the most vulnerable and unassisted population by providing them with blankets, hygiene kits, plastic sheeting and the provision of water.
