Kaltim Diskes Team Go Two People Suspect Bird Flu

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, Tenggarong - Today, Friday (4/29/2011), Public Health Service team (Diskes) East Kalimantan Province Archilia chaired by Dr. S Dahlan, Head of Communicable Disease Control (P2M) will come to two persons of Makarti Village, District Marangkayu , Kukar, who stated suspect bird flu.
Provincial teams will be accompanied by field officers of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Kukar. "The team will carry the drug, device health checks and education facilities," said Eka Soni, Chairman of the Impact of Avian Influenza Investigation Team from the Ministry of Health, on Friday (29/04/2011).
As reported previously, as many as 20 thousand chickens died suddenly and tested positive for bird flu after the rapid test (rapid test) against a number of samples of chickens in the village of Makarti, Marangkayu. The spread of bird flu affecting poultry in the region adversely affected the health of citizens.
Of the 34 people who checked people's health ministry investigation team, 7 people experience a mild fever and a high fever. Two of them were stated suspect bird flu.
Soni asked for an active role in disseminating the village head of bird flu to local people. "If the residents do not have the time since morning to evening work tapping rubber, kades can take the initiative to socialize at night, for example, interspersed with teaching residents in each event," Soni said.
He urged people not to fear of bird flu. Thus, he reiterated the importance of socialization efforts on understanding the bird flu and measures to overcome it.
"Citizens were asked to report immediately to the nearest hospital or clinic, if found people with suspected symptoms of bird flu, such as high fever. It's an effort to reduce transmission to others," he said.
In the case of two persons of suspect bird flu in the village of Makarti, residents around mengucilkannya precisely for fear of contracting. In fact, Soni said, the best solution to bring the two people to hospital for immediate medical care so as not to bring bad impact on the health of the patient also in the surrounding community. (*)
