Since January 1st, 2007, I believe 33 individuals from Indonesia have been confirmed as H5N1 cases by WHO. Of these, three were reported as recovered and one is uncertain (Vivi Sukowati, 3F, from Rumbai District, Pekanbaru Regency, onset June 2007), the remainder died. The CFR for Indonesia, as we start a new flu season in the temperate regions, is 88% for 2007.

Re: Indonesia - CFR for 2007 to date

Are there any relationships between deaths and levels of care, or anything else? What has the Indonesian health care community learned that can be used elsewhere?

Sorry, I don't have much more information. Most of it is derived from WHO Disease Outbreak News and translated local media reports reported here at FluTrackers. I am sure that the Indonesian Ministry of Health has more detailed information but it is not available to FluTracker members.
