ANTARA - A villager Paras, Kecamatan Cepogo, Boyolali, died
suspected to be infected with bird flu (avian influenza, AI).
Chief Medical Officer (Health) Boyolali doctor Yulianto Prabowo, Tuesday, explained, patients
The suspect, Syamsudin (27), Paras Village, District Cepogo, before he died

Alluding to the death of hundreds of chickens in Hamlet Bandung, Beji Village, Andong district,

and Village Health Post (PKD) to continuously monitor local developments.

avian infectious to local residents.

ANTARA - Seorang warga Desa Paras, Kecamatan Cepogo, Kabupaten Boyolali, meninggal dunia diduga suspek virus flu burung (avian influenza, AI).
Kepala Dinas Kesehatan (Dinkes) Boyolali dokter Yulianto Prabowo, Selasa, menjelaskan, pasien suspek tersebut, Syamsudin (27), warga Desa Paras, Kecamatan Cepogo, sebelum meninggal sempat dirawat di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Pandan Arang Boyolali.
Menurut Yulianto, pasien tersebut dari hasil dianogsis beberapa waktu lalu sebagai penderita suspek flu burung. Karena, kondisinya kritis, pasien dirujuk ke RS Dr. Moewardi Solo.
Namun setelah dirawat beberapa waktu di RS Moewardi, akhirnya meninggal dunia.
Menurut Yulianto, dari hasil pemeriksaan pasien di RS Moewardi, penyebab meninggalnya pasien tersebut karena menderita infeksi saluran pernapasan.
Menyinggung matinya ratusan ekor ayam di Dukuh Bandung, Desa Beji, Kecamatan Andong, Boyolali beberapa waktu lalu, menurut Yulianto, pihaknya sudah meminta jajaran Puskesmas maupun Pos Kesehatan Desa (PKD) setempat untuk terus memantau perkembangannya.
Namun, kata dia, kasus tersebut hingga sekarang belum ada laporan adanya virus flu burung pada unggas yang menular ke warga setempat.
Selain itu, ratusan ayam mati di wilayah tersebut juga belum bisa dipastikan akibat flu burung atau hanya penyakit "tetelo".
Menurut dia, pihaknya kesulitan melakukan pemeriksaan karena bangkai ayam sudah tidak ada untuk dijadikan sampel sebagai 'rapid test'.
Kendati demikian, pihaknya meminta agar warga segera melaporkan jika ada unggas mereka yang mati mendadak supaya dapat dilakukan tes segera.
Selain itu, pihaknya terus mengawasi dan waspada terhadap penularan virus flu burung ke manusia. Hal itu, terutama di daerah-daerah yang ada serangan flu burung.
Risiko tertular virus flu burung bisa terjadi, kata dia, terutama bagi warga yang bersentuhan langsung dengan unggas.
