Following up on Posts #58 and #60 by Theresa42. Based on these posts there is another family cluster in Indonesia of an uncle and a nephew in late March/early April of 2006. Both individuals died.
In March, Blue Jay reported on a young child, Bondan Abirama Sanyoto, who was suspected to be infected with H5N1. On September 14, 2006, WHO confirmed this case. Theresa42 noted in a PowerPoint presentation in early December at a Bird flu Conference (Posts #53 and #54) that Bondan Abirama's uncle, Fahmi Fajar, was stricken with H5N1 after contact with the child. Fahmi was HIV(+).
It is not clear which conference participant prepared the presentation(http://www.avianinfluenzaconference4.org/fileadmin/user_upload/PDF_Uploads/presentations/Session_1.2/Indonesia_-_Presentation.pdf), but of the 5 participants from Indonesia it is most likely Santoso Soeroso, Director of Infectious Disease Hospital in Jakarta, that gave the presentation. I think it is reasonable to treat this as another human cluster in Indonesia, although only one individual was confirmed by WHO.

Not much BF news from Indonesia.
Quite a few reports about Dengue fever outbreaks (and some Chikungunya) all over Indonesia. Since Dengue is a mosquito borne disease, and the rains are pouring down, causing a lot of floods, plenty opportunity for the mosquito species which causes Dengue and ChikV to prosper. Especially children are vulnerable for Dengue, some die. Every year more die of dengue than from BF.

MEULABOH - the agricultural Service and Livestock Breeding (Distannak) Aceh West, on Wednesday (3/1) reprimanded hard several traders/the supplier of the poultry that uptil now still was selling the outside supplies livestock in the territory.
Moreover, in order to guards against the possibility infected by bird flu, this service also threatened to seize and burn the chicken belonging to the trader/the supplier.
The warning and the threat were brought forward by the team of Livestock Breeding of the Service, when descending to the market developed Meulaboh efforts, yesterday.
The team that was helped by Muspika Johan Pahlawan was led by the Head of Sector Livestock Breeding, Jufrizal also checked several poultry pens belonging to the trader in this market and gave the directive to the trader to not sell outside supplies poultries the area.
