...Based on data from the health agency, 5,870 dengue cases occurred on the island in 2013, with Denpasar hit with the highest number at 1,682 cases. Buleleng regency came in second. Badung and Gianyar also saw high numbers of dengue cases.

The dengue prevalence stood at 145 persons per 100,000 population. Bali has a population of 4.1 million. Meanwhile, the mortality rate for dengue outbreaks reached 1 percent of total cases in 2013...
