Flu Burung Ditemukan Lagi di Polewali Mandar

POLEWALI MANDAR—MEDIA: Kasus flu burung kembali ditemukan di Kabupaten Polewali Mandar, Sulawesi Barat. Kali ini kasus mematikan tersebut ditemukan di Desa Banua Baru, Kecamatan Wonmulyo.
Kasus flu burung di desa ini diketahui setelah lebih 70 ekor ayam warga setempat mati mendadak dalam lima hari terakhir. Menurut staf Penanggulan Flu Burung Polewali Mandar, drh Isnaenia Bagenda, dari hasil pengujian di lokasi ayam yang mati tersebut disebabkan karena terserang flu burung.
"Memang dari hasil hasil uji cepat, ayam di desa ini memang telah terjangkit flu burung," kata Isnaenia, Jumat (7/12).
Untuk mendapat kapastian, organ tubuh dari ayam yang mati di desa Banua Baru telah dikirim ke Balai Besar Veteriner Maros, Sulawesi Selatan.
Ironisnya, sebelum Tim dari Dinas Pertanian dan Peternakan Polewali Mandar melakukan uji sampel warga di desa tersebut ternyata telah membuang sebagian ayam mati ke kali, meski sebagian lainnya dikubur. Padahal sesuai ketentuan standar penanganan Flu Burung, ayam yang mati karena virus H5N1 harus dibakar.
Sebelumnya, flu burung ditemukan di Kelurahan Tinambung Kecamatan Tinambung, Desa Kanang, Kecamatan Binuang, Desa Sugih Waras Kecamatan Wonomulyo dan Kelurahan Lantora Kecamatan Polewali. (FH/OL-06)
