Sixty one (95%) of the deaths had underlying medical conditions. Three deaths did not indicate there were underlying medical conditions. One reported death did not complete the underlying medical condition question and awaiting updated information. The most commonly reported underlying medical conditions were Cardiac Disease, COPD, Diabetes, Asthma and Renal Disease and Cancer.
The most common complication reported during acute illness was acute respiratory distress syndrome and pneumonia. Other complications collected on the reports were shock, altered mental status, sepsis, dehydration, pulmonary hemorrhage and urinary tract infection.
