Acute Diarrhoeal Disease in Gaya and Rohtas (107 cases, 1 fatality, Bihar), Gadag and Gulbarga (67 cases, 2 fatalities, Karnataka), Bhind and Sehore (29 cases, 1 fatality, Madhya Pradesh), Dehradun (15 cases, Uttarakhand) and Hooghly (56 cases, West Bengal).

Follow Ups:
Cholera in North Goa (97 cases, 1 fatality, Goa) A Food Poisoning outbreak (45 cases and 1 death) was reported in 22nd week
(ending on 2nd June) 2013 from Aguada Jail, PHC Candolim, District North Goa.
On 30th May 2013, 45 cases and 1 death occurred in Aguada Jail campus after
consumption of food prepared in jail kitchen. Further, 26 cases occurred on 31st
May, 2013 from Aguda jail. Subsequently on 31/05/13, 26 cases were reported
from Mapusa jail, District North Goa who consumed food supplied from Aguada
jail. All patients were treated at Govt. Medical College and North Goa District
Hospital. Out of 6 stool samples collected, 3 samples tested positive for V.
cholerae. Water samples (tap water) collected from Aguada and Mapusa jails were
contaminated with coliform organisms.
Acute Diarrhoeal Disease in Paschim Medinipur (350 cases, West Bengal) An outbreak of Acute Diarrhoeal Disease (296 cases) was reported in 23rd week
(ending on 9th June) 2013 from Village Dogacha, SC Pachra, District Paschim
Medinipur. Further, 54 cases occurred till 16th June, 2013. 3 stool samples collected
which tested negative for cholera.
