​Many people in the city appeared to be affected by an unusual fever with a bewildering array of symptoms. What raised concern is patients testing negative for dengue, malaria, chikungunya, and other infections, TOI reported

BYL Nair's physician told TOI, "Fever with associated rashes often points to dengue, but these patients consistently show negative results for dengue." This strange fever began to manifest around two months ago.
Symptoms of unusual fever

Temperatures fluctuate between 99-102 degrees
Full-body rash on 4th or 5th day
Heaviness in the eyes
Persistent headaches
Sleeplessness
Severe joint pain

Speaking to TOI, Dr Neelam Andrade said, "The fever's accompanying rash emerges on the 4th or 5th day, and is relatively short-lived, typically lasting only 1.5 to 2 days. Then, on the 5th or 6th day, as rashes start disappearing, one experiences severe joint pain," she said...
