According to the Central Water Commission (CWC) report dated 28th June, 2012, there are 02 high flood & 16 Moderate flood situation sites in the country, as per details given below:-

River Brahmaputra at Tezpur in Assam is flowing at a level of 66.11 m with falling trend against the danger level of 65.23 m.
River Kopili at Kampur in Nagaon district in Assam is flowing at a level of 61.56 m with rising trend against the danger level of 60.50 m.

Assam Flood Situation Grim, Death Toll Reaches 35

The flood situation in Assam continued to be grim with four more deaths in different areas of the state taking the toll to 35 even as the water level in some of the rivers have started receding, official sources said today.
A mahout died after he was attacked by a wild elephant in the flood waters this morning in the Kaziranga National Park, which has been completely inundated by the water of river Brahmaputra.
Two persons, including a one-year-old baby, were drowned in Goalpara district late last evening. In Cachar district, a teenager was drowned this morning, the sources said.
