The swine flu situation in the State is not out of control and there is no need to panic, said Dr.Sunil Gupta, joint director, National Institute of Communicable Diseases, who headed the Central team that assessed the situation in the State.
Fever cases
A total of 12,520 fever cases were reported in the State on Friday of which 23 were dengue cases and four malaria cases. Rest of the cases were reported as viral fever. Malappuram recorded the maximum number of fever cases with 2,089 followed by Thrissur 2,051, Ernakulam 1,373 and Thiruvananthapuram 1,288.
