KARWAR: Chikungunya, a viral disease, has surfaced in Haliyal and Dandeli, according to some sources.
DHO Venkatesh told this reporter that no case of the disease had been reported in the government hospitals of these two places so far.
The sources, however, said that nearly 25 people having the symptoms of chikungunya had received the treatment in a couple of hospitals at Dandeli.
