First NVBDCP report of the year: http://nvbdcp.gov.in/den-cd.html

IndiaDengue.png
Comment: to put this in perspective, the state of Kerala to April 5 has reported 424 confirmed cases with one fatality. The state has also reported an additional 1,371 suspected cases with 6 fatalities. Suspected cases do not make it to the NVBDCP tally. Thus any realistic estimate of the Dengue burden in India should take the NVBDCP figures and multiply them several times. - Ro

Comment: NVBDCP Dengue statistics should be taken with a grain of salt. Take the state of Kerala for example; In addition to 2,196 confirmed cases of Dengue, 14 fatal, to June 28, there are an additional 8,833 cases and 29 fatalities that are labeled suspected cases suggesting that the true burden of Dengue in India is several times higher than NVBDCP figures indicate. - Ro

Compare with prior NVBDCP figures:
Year // Cases // Fatalities
2017 // 20,664 // 22 to July 9
2016 // 8,307 // 10 to June 28
2015 // 5,874 // 19 to June 28
2014 // 3,713 // 2 to June 30
