Nallakunta: The city is reeling under the grip of Dengue, Typhoid and Malaria, which is resulting in increase of malaria and dengue cases in the state-run Fever Hospital. Thousands of people have been visiting the hospital with fever and viral infections during past week.

Speaking to The Hans India, K Shankar, Superintendent, Fever Hospital & Director, Institute of Preventive medicine, Telangana said, 'In last two months, we have witnessed variations in temperature due to climatic changes. The boy succumbed to the infection within 24 hours of admission after having developed an acute lung injury and multi-organ dysfunction. CUTTACK: Yet another dengue patient succumbed at SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) here on Tuesday.The deceased has been identified as Prasant Moharana (25) of Rupadeipur within Balanga police limits in Puri. According to hospital sources, Prasant was admitted to SCBMCH on July 5 at 10.35 pm in a critical condition and was shifted to ICU the next day after his condition deteriorated. He succumbed to the disease at around 9.20 pm on July 6.

This is the second case of dengue death in the current season at the Government-run hospital.
