The College of Veterinary Sciences, Lakhimpur, has said that the rapid increase in the incidence of swine fever is a DNA disease of pigs. According to associate science guru Dr. Umaram Tamuli, Chuvain flu is caused by RNA. However, pigs are more likely to be infected with the swine flu DNA virus. This is because of the fact that it is the only way to get rid of the disease
However, in this case, the results of the Bhopal test will reveal the real truth, says the veterinary scientist. It is pertinent to note that there are several lakh commercial pig rearing pigs in the state. These piglets have been shown to have a significant impact on the poultry trade due to swine flu..:tiphat:https://translate.google.com/transla...gahori-died%2F

Tynsong said, “A few days ago, we received information from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh where pigs not less than 1,000 died in different farms. They died and we suspected that they have some kind of flu. Although I won’t say swine flu, it is some flu. The government of Assam has taken the samples and sent them for lab test, we will soon get to know the cause.”

In view of the development in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, the government has taken a decision that importing of pigs from outside the state will be stopped from Tuesday till further order. The government has taken this decision in order to avoid any kind of pandemic.

Tynsong also advised that piggery farms, be it private or government owned, will have to be properly monitored. “Here’s an advisory to those who consume pork. Even for pork produced from within the state, they are to be consumed but only after cooking it properly, for minimum 30 minutes. That is the advice from the experts from veterinary department,” added Tynsong.:tiphat:https://www.eastmojo.com/manipur/202...-amid-lockdown

NORTH LAKHIMPUR, April 27 - Carcasses of pigs floating on the Ranganadi river and lying on its shallow banks have led to panic in many villages and discomfort in Lakhimpur district.

Such incidents have been reported from the downstream areas of the river since April 24, where the dead animals on the river are not only leaving a stinking smell, but also set alarm bells ringing among the people of this riverine area of a possible outbreak of another epidemic amid the lockdown for coronavirus.

....The villagers are also concerned by the nocturnal menace of dogs that scramble to feed on the dead pigs in that area. The outbreak of swine fever in Lakhimpur district and the throwing of the carcasses of the pigs into the river in the upstream areas of the Ranganadi may be the reason of panic in the downstream villages.

More than 2000 pigs have died so far at Gogamukh on Lakhimpur-Dhemaji district boundary since last week. Symptoms like high fever, unconsciousness, problem in breathing, vomiting, dysentery, loss of appetite, forming of reddish warts near the ear, mouth, legs and groins have been reported in the affected animals from Gogamukh.

.....A pig farmer says that the mortality rate of animals kept in captivity are relatively low than those who roam freely outside the households and visit the paddy fields. However, the State Veterinary department has launched vaccination of pigs in some villages from April 25 onwards.

It may be recalled that cases of pigs dying in large numbers in unknown diseases have been reported since mid-February this year in Silapathar-Chimen Chapori areas of Dhemaji and in riverine areas of Gohpur in Biswanath districts – both neighbouring Lakhimpur. On March 2, there were reports of many carcasses of pigs seen floating on the Sisi-Tongani river of Dhemaji dist...

Veterinary experts in the State have so far ruled out the outbreak of swine flu or H1N1 and attributed the present epidemic to classical swine fever. Classical swine fever is a viral disease that affects pigs only and requires vaccination in time. There is a Classical Swine Fever Control Programme (CSF-CP) in the department of veterinary of the State which was added in the scheme of Livestock, Health and Disease Control Programme since 2014-15. China is not out of tact, pigs die in Assam
Guwahati (Assam) Rajeev Kumar : (Assam News) Trick of China is not diminishing the world-wide-ranging tactic of spreading Corona virus. After Corona, there has been a case of China spreading disease through dead pigs in Brhamputra. Thousands pigs have died in Assam till date, thousands of pigs have died. Assam Animal Husbandry Minister Atul Bora says that this mysterious disease in pigs has come from China. So far more than 2500 pigs have died.

Charge of Minister of Pushpur
According to Animal Husbandry Minister Bora, many pigs in China and Tibet were ill, they were dumped in the Brahmaputra River. Due to this, the sugars started getting ill in Arunachal Pradesh and later in Jonai in Assam. In Arunachal Pradesh, pigs have found evidence of African swine flu. Bora said that our animal doctors say that the virus has come from China. Meanwhile, samples of affected pigs have been sent to Bhopal's National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases for examination. The report is yet to come from there.

The situation can be frightening
It is being said that the situation will be appalling if the wild poachers of the state are caught in the disease. Animal doctors say that even after giving injections of classical swine fever, the swine did not do well. Therefore, samples have been sent to Bhopal. 2,226 pigs have died in the state. Six districts of the state are vulnerable to the disease. Selling of pigs and their meat has been completely banned in these districts of the state.

Virus came from Africa to China
According to experts, such a disease was observed in Africa in 1921. From there, the disease spread in China through various countries. Currently, this unknown disease has been found in six districts of the state Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Vishwanath, Dibrugarh, Shivasagar and Jorhat. The state government has declared the affected six districts as containment zones and has completely banned the transport of pigs from here.:tiphat:https://translate.google.com/transla...0/&prev=search

....Doctors, after examining, have suggested that it might be an “exotic swine fever”, Bora said, adding that injections of classical swine fever are not working on these pigs.

Bora further added that ban on the sale of pork in the affected districts will continue, and added that the number of pigs which have died from the virus has risen to 2,226.

The Agriculture Minister says that the is heavily contagious. However, due to the lockdown perhaps, the disease has not spread at its rapid rate. Even humans can become carriers”, Bora said. Providing some relief, the Minister said that the flu cannot affect humans.

..
Meanwhile, Bora confirmed that samples have now been sent to Bhopal and the reports of those samples will come later today in the evening or tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Government is said to be in talks to see what can be done to allay the financial damages that will be incurred by the piggery business owners.”So that there is no loss to the farmers, that is something we will be looking at”, added Bora.

At the same time, Bora said, a census of the number of people employed in the business is being collected, so that further action can be taken in that regard.:tiphat:https://insidene.com/2020/04/28/afri...pigs-in-assam/
