SOUTHWEST MONSOON-2011: DAILY FLOOD SITUATION REPORT
SUMMARY OF IMPORTANT EVENTS AS ON 13.07.2011
CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION (daily water levels and forecasts for level at forecast sites)
According to the Central Water Commission (CWC) report dated 13th July, 2011, there are 04 moderate flood situation sites in the country, as per details given below.
Moderate Flood Site
Assam
? River Brahmaputra at Jorhat/Nematighat (Assam) is flowing at 86.12m against the danger level of 85.04m with a Falling trend.
? River Dhansiri(S) at Golaghat/Numaligarh (Assam) is flowing at 77.89m against the danger level of 77.42m with a Steady trend.
Bihar
? River Bagmati (Benibad) at Muzaffarpur/Hayaghat (Bihar) is flowing at 48.76m against the danger level of 48.68m with a Steady trend.
? River Kosi at Supaul (Bihar) is flowing at 47.92 m against the danger level of 47.75m with a Rising trend.
Up to July 13th, 280 fatalities have been reported.
