Increasing concern about cases of Influenza A

The Chief Epidemiologist, Roberto T?rrez, reported that Santa Cruz was reported the fourth case of Influenza A third sister of patient 20, who tested positive last week with her newborn.

"The patient was in the process of moving to room, but still needs more care than usual, which is why you continue to receive the attentions in therapy," said Espinosa.

He indicated that the most appropriate to prevent Influenza A, is to use disinfectant or alcohol gel if you have flu or common cold sneezes with the inside of the elbow, coughing with a tissue and constant use of mask.
"The symptoms of this disease are easy to detect, appear with a high fever over 38 degrees, continuing and painful coughing, sneezing, malaise, muscle aches and lack of appetite," Gerba said.
Regarding vaccines indicated that this week is expected to arrive in Santa Cruz the 326 thousand vaccines for distribution in five municipalities in April.
He noted that the vaccination course will have a cycle of 45 days in all hospitals and health centers in the department.
