Incident: China Southern A332 near Sydney on May 26th 2009, medical emergency

A China Southern Airlines Airbus A330-200, registration B-6059 performing flight CZ-326 from Sydney,NS (Australia) to Guangzhou (China), was enroute about 90 minutes into the flight, when a 3 year old Australian boy fell ill and deteriorated rapidly suffering from breathing difficulties and becoming quickly critical. The crew decided to return to Sydney, where the airplane landed safely about 3 hours after takeoff. The boy was taken to a hospital and is on the way to full recovery.
The airplane resumed the journey after about 2 hours on the ground.
The boy's mother, a doctor, diagnosed pneumonia when her boy became pale and started to have breathing difficulties requiring support through oxygen bottles provided by cabin crew.
