In Mexico edited book on the influenza A (H1N1)

April 10, 2010, 12:24 Mexico, Apr 10 (Prensa Latina) Some 100 experts participated in Mexico in the development of a book on human influenza A (H1N1), considered as a valuable contribution to treatment of the disease, said health minister, Jos? ?ngel C?rdova.
69 Speaking at the 2010 National Congress of the Mexican Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery, the official acknowledged the commitment and dedicated professional and institutional shown here during the epidemic in this type of flu.
He also praised "the extraordinary public response that allowed housing in these times of uncertainty, a threat that was unknown dimension."
The work "by the New Virus Influenza A (H1N1), an Integral Approach" makes an overall assessment of the aspects associated with this virus, including a description of the historical perspective, the clinical picture of patients, and respiratory support national hospital response.
It addresses risk factors like smoking, overweight and obesity, vaccination strategy, treatment provided to patients and Mexican clinician's ability to detect the condition, said Cordova.
Within the chapters is also included an analysis of laboratory diagnostic methods, as the A (H1N1) replaced by other respiratory viruses circulating in the country, particularly since the final months of last year and so far 2010, appreciated the minister.
C?rdova welcomed the text edition of the Director General of the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases, Rogelio P?rez, the President of The Mexican Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery, Andr?s Palomar, specialists Jorge Salas and Juan Carlos Vazquez, and near 100 authors participating in the project.
