The Health Department of Paran? published last second (10:05) epidemiological bulletin on the Influenza A (H1N1). From January 1 until the date of issue of the newsletter 11 people had died in the state due to the disease.
Only in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba three deaths were recorded and three others in Maring?. In Ponta Grossa two deaths occurred. The other deaths were in Pato Branco (PR), Londrina (PR) and Cornelio Procopio (PR).
Of the 11 people who contracted the disease and four of those died were between 20 and 49 years. Three had between 5 and 19 years. 64% of registered deaths of the victims were women.
So far 1150 cases of Influenza A (H1N1) were reported in Paran?, 41 of them are pregnant.
