Health department confirms measles case in McDonough County

MACOMB, ILL. -- A West Central Illinois health organization says it's confirmed a case of measles.

The McDonough County Health Department received the report that a young child was contagious from Feb. 14 to Feb. 23.

Anyone the child could have come in contact with has been notified, the health department said...

Measles Exposure in McDonough County

...The McDonough County Health Department is seeking people who were in at least one of two locations last week:

The McDonough District Hospital emergency room and waiting area on Sunday, February 16, between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant on Tuesday, February 18, between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm

Anyone who was in either one of the locations during those times should contact the health department if they have not already been in touch.

Health dept. sends measles notification letter to school districts

Parents of students in Macomb and Bushnell-Prairie City school districts were sent a letter Tuesday about a possible measles exposure.

According to the letter, a person suspected to have measles was present at a Tuesday, Feb. 25, Bushnell Junior High volleyball game in Bushnell.


Last week, the health department announced a confirmed case of measles in McDonough County...
