There's a video at the link. The county animal warden thinks the dry heat is causing the deaths, directly and indirectly through moldy food.

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- Dozens of dead birds have recently turned up in downtown Quincy backyards, lots and sidewalks.

"We've seen four over here and we've never seen dead birds like that. They are all pigeons, all pigeons," said Downey.

And Downey says all the birds she has seen have acted the same.

"They just flopped around, flopped around and I put some of them over here and they laid there and laid there and just died," said Downey...
