ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) ? School officials for Augustana College alerted the campus Thursday that a student has been diagnosed with viral meningitis. The student is currently receiving hospital treatment.
The school also sent information to students, staff, and faculty stating the college will follow the Rock Island County Health department?s guidance, and all should be aware of how to avoid dangerous illnesses like meningitis through frequent hand-washing and other preventative measures...
